not sure but you can go to your local autozone and they will tell you ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The spark plug firing order is ( 1 - 4 - 2 - 5 - 3 - 6 ) The distributor rotor turns CLOCKWISE ( 1 - 4 - 2 - 5 - 3 - 6 ) The marked # 1 position on the distributor cap faces towards the firewall and slightly towards the passenger side The engine cylinders / spark plugs are numbered : passenger side of engine , front to rear , 1 , 2 , 3 and drivers side of engine , front to rear , 4 , 5 , 6

It depends on the firing order of the engine

Need the firing order for spark plug wires to distributor on a 1978 Dodge 440

I have a 1990 ford ranger,2.9L 4X4,AC. Anyways here's a link to show how it goes. http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/2_9_Page.html

You need to look for the firing order for your specific engine. That's the order you place the plug wires in. Make sure the rotation of the distributor matches the firing order.

The firing order is printed on the block, 1-3-4-2 if I remember correctly.Start at the position nearest to the coil and continue clockwise.

Bad plug wires or distributor cap is tracking and firing cylinders in wrong order

The firing order should be stamped onto the engine block at some location, or on the stickers at the front of the hood.

the firing order is usually marked on the engine block. the marking for the distributor can lead to being out 180°. I did that on a Rambler - had fire coming out the carb. Just turned it 180° and it was fine.

are the plug wires in the correct sequence for firing order? Are the coil wires all connected? Did you remove the distributor and possibly put it out of time?

Distributor rotates clockwise. The firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2

The firing order should be 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2.

You need to know the firing order of the engine. Answer 2 The same as the firing order - 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2. #1 is toward the front of the distributor and slightly to the left (passenger's side). All small block and big block Chevys have the same firing order except for certain marine engines and 1 or 2 oddballs. (BTW - distributor rotation is clockwise)

Plug wires in wrong order, distributor out of sync,Plug wires in wrong order, distributor out of sync,

== == If you buy a repair manual ($20.00) it will have all the information you need, on the firing order and rotation of the distributor.

Change one at a time so not to mess up the firing order.

This is the firing order of your engine. You need to get a repair manual or otherwise find out your firing order and which way (clockwise/counter-clockwise) to route them on the distributor. The number 1 plug will be marked with a dot, a "1", or some other identification. You'll be able to tell right away if the order is wrong.

The Ford 4.9 liter ( 300 cubic inch ) straight 6 cylinder engine firing order is : 1 - 5 - 3 - 6 - 2 - 4 The distributor rotor turns CLOCKWISE The marked # 1 position on the distributor cap faces AWAY from the engine The engine cylinders are numbered 1 to 6 , from front to rear

1,2,4,3, is the firing order on the 1010 JD. #1 is the plug closest to the front of the tractor.

Most likely bad plugs or firing order isn't right, i would start by checking the order you got the plugs and if that's not it check the plug wires.

The wiring order also called firing order is 18436572 some distributor caps show the #1 plug connector, which in most cases is the first post on the right side facing the back side of the carburater. start there and go clockwise with your wires in the 18436572 firing order.
