The timing is controlled by the computer and can't be adjusted.

most cars have a diagram under the hood or in the owners manual if you still have one 1-4-3-2 firing order.

It has no timing marks because the ignition timing is set by the computer and isn't adjustable.

The thermostat is located on the side of the engine. It housing is mounted in front of the distributor and connects to the upper radiator hose.

well, that all depends on the size motor between the two escorts, and tranny types. the ford escorts between 1991 and 1996 were all the same by way of body styling. throughout this period, they came in two different engine types: the 1.9 SEFI motor (made by ford) and the 1.8 DOHC (made by mazda). unfortunetely, the transmissions between the two aren't interchangeable. so, if the '92 and '93 escorts you're referring to have the same engine type, then the answer is yes.

Google on "Ford Escort Service and Repair Manual - Haynes Ebook". It describes the process and includes a photo. I did this and I think the only thing I disconnected was the air intake hose b/c the sensor was on the firewall side of the manifold. And this was on a 1993 1.9L SEFI. Very simple once you find it. But is did not solve my fan problem. Now I'm looking at the fan relay.

yes but i found out if you tap into the wires on the cooling fan it keeps you running cooler and keeps your car running smooth

For summer time, use a 160 f stat. Winter, cold weather, use 190 to 195 f

According to the 1999 Ford F-150 Owner Guide : The 5.4 liter V8 engine is rated at ( 250 horsepower at 4500 RPM and 345 lb.-ft. torque at 2250 RPM )

Check the fuel pump, if its cold out the fuel will have a harder time reaching the engine. If you have overidling problems, clean the throttle body (put on a new gasket), change the tps sensor and purge solenoid valve. You can do this quite easily yourself, check www.rockauto.com for the parts.

SFI (Sequential Fuel Injection) also called as SEFI( Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection) . Unlike the Multi Point fuel injection (MPFI) system, SEFI has separate fuel injectors for each cylinder which inject fuel more precisely increasing the fuel efficiency.

Look at the 8 TH " character " of your VIN code : The information listed below applies from 1997 to 2003 F150 " W " - 4.6 L SOHC / Romeo / 97 + 98 are MFI , 1999 and newer are SEFI " 6 " - 4.6 L SOHC / Windsor / 97 + 98 are MFI , 1999 and newer are SEFI I got this information right off a Ford information sheet on how to interpret VIN codes So, I learned something new today , I would have assumed that the " W " code meant the Windsor on the 4.6 L -that would make too much sense !

By your VIN number... Check your owners manual. If you don't have one copy & paste this link. http://www.genuineservice.com/genuineservice/en/gloveboxresults --------------------------------------------------------------------- The 8 th " character " of your VIN ( on your 1999 Expedition the 4.6 L engine codes ) are " W " is the 4.6 L ( 281 cubic inch ) V8 / SOHC / SEFI / Romeo engine and " 6 " is the 4.6 L ( 281 cubic inch ) V8 / SOHC / SEFI / Windsor engine

alright since no one wants to answer my question ill answer it myslef so that way when someone needs this answer they'll have it. alright heres how to remove the head from a 94 escort 1.9 sefi. First u have to remove the head off the top of the motor then u remove the 8 bolts that are inside the head. second remove the 7 bolts that are holding the exhausht headers. third remove the alternator ( you have to remove the alternator because theres one bolt that is holding the head down). third you have to remove the tensoner and the timing belt (remove the tensoner first so you can remove the cover for the timing belt). fourth remove the throttle body and the injetors (careful not to rip any wires i accidently ripped the low oil wire). Now you can remove the head and check your vavles or whatever else u are trying to attempt to do.

The 1998 Nissan Frontier is sequential electronic fuel injected (SEFI). I can think of no vehicle made since 1992 that was not fuel injected.

The serpentine belt can be replaced by finding the belt tension pulley. This pulley has a bolt in the center and when you turn it the belt will loosen and you can take it off the pulleys. Look for a diagram sticker under the hood or make your own so you remember how the new belt wraps around the pulleys.

Try 87 octane Regular gasoline is OK. gasoline + 10% ethanol, and gasoline + 3% methanol are also possible (if you have a 302cid 5.0 SEFI Windsor engine) the crown Victoria 1990 works better between 90 - 92 octane. best performance gained from 92 octane , smoother acceleration.
