The thyroid gland secretes thyroid hormone. The hormone regulates metabolism. If u secrete too much thyroid hormone, it can lead to obesity-related problems such as hypertension and heat-intolerance. If u secrete too little thyroid hormone, it can lead to tremendous weight-loss and other underweight problems. Luckily, our hypothalamus and pituitary gland are there to regulate this hormone.
