Best Answer

The surface gravity of the Sun is about 27.94 G (about 28 times that of Earth).

*Note : The density at the visual "surface", the photosphere, is too low for anything to remain there without sinking into the Sun (or vaporizing). It is a hot, bright, and churning near-vacuum, less than a thousandth the density of air at sea level.

An object that weighs 100 pounds on Earth would weigh about

2,790 pounds on the sun just before it melted and vaporized.

The acceleration due to gravity on the Earth's surface is appx. 274.0 m/s2. That is 27.94 g (almost 28 times that of Earth's).

Approximately 274 meters/second2 (274 newton/kilogram). Please note that the Sun doesn't have a clearly-defined surface, as Earth does.

The sun gravity is stronger

How is the earth cooler than the sun?

Well the sun is just one big giant star. The sun because its in the center of the solar system has gravity around it. The gravity is causing the heat on the sun. The sun has more gravity on it then any other planet. Now earth only has half as much gravity as the sun. So there for making the earth way cooler than the sun.

How much stronger is the Sun's gravity than the Earth's?

Larger masses have larger gravitational forces, so the Sun's gravity is much stronger than that of Earth.

Why do the outer planets have rings?

They get a different kind of gravity that far away from the sun. They can also get meteor pieces that have fallen of comets that we can not get, because we get too much of the sun's gravity.

How does the sun makes its own gravity?

Anything with mass has gravity. The sun's mass is enormous. Therefore the sun has strong gravity.

the sun connect to gravity because the sun is heavy remember the heavier some thing is the more gravity pulls you and the lighter u are the least gravity pulls you

How much stronger is the sun's gravity than the earths?

The Sun has a gravity of 27.94 g whereas the Earth has a gravity of 0.99732 g about 28 times more than the Earth.
