not sure alot of dogs have a hard time getting house trained.
It is not the dog or breed of dog that is difficult to potty train. It is the human. You just need to know how to do it. You should always have a crate that is large enough for your dog to stand up in and be able to turn around in. If you cannot keep an eye on your dog, then they must stay in the crate. A dog will not normally defecate or urinate in its own den and that is what the crate will be like to the dog. It will be its own private get a way den. Take the puppy out after feeding it and often in between those times, like every 2 hours or more often. Praise when the pup goes outside, lots of praise. The key is to keep the pup in the crate when you cannot monitor the dog. Put lots of soft blankets in the crate along with toys to play with. Eventually after the pup becomes potty trained, you can just leave the door to the crate open all the time and you will be amazed to see your dog going into its crate on its own as this is his or her get away place.
