1997 dodge ram 1500 2wd 1500 engine block heater location
On eBay or Ryder Fleet Service about $20. The heater is in the block but Dodge doesn't include the cord..
Disconnect the negative battery cable.Discharge and recover the air conditioning system refrigerant.Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the evaporator. Plug the openings to prevent contamination.Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the accumulator. Plug the openings to prevent contamination.Remove the accumulator.Drain the cooling system into a clean container for reuse.Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core tubes.Remove the PCM from the dash panel and move it aside. Do not disconnect the PCM harness connector.In the engine compartment, remove the heater/air conditioning housing assembly-to-chassis nuts.In the passenger-s compartment, remove the heater/air conditioning housing-to-dash panel nuts.Pull the heater/air conditioning housing assembly rearward far enough to clear the studs and air conditioning drain tube holes.Remove the heater/air conditioning housing assembly from the vehicle.Remove the upper-to-lower heater/air conditioning housing screws and remove the upper housing.Remove the heater core from the lower housing.
The 2001 Dodge Dakota air conditioning drain hose is located on the bottom of the air conditioning compressor. The drain hose leads from the compressor to the bottom of the engine compartment.

The Dodge Sprinter did not come out until 2002. The heater is an add on option that is installed in a freeze plug on the passenger side of the block.
if you see no plug than it has neither one you have to pop out the frost plug and put in a block heater
A 2007 Dodge 3500 diesel engine serpentine belt routing diagram can be obtained from most auto-parts stores. When you purchase the serpentine belt, ask for a routing diagram.

Drain the coolant, disconnect the surge tank to heater pipe line, and the heater core to heater pipe line, remove the drivers side engine mount, and the starter, and unbolt the heater pipe from the engine-transmission bolt. Remove the clamp from the short hose at the thermostat housing, and pull the pipe out.

The engine block heater on a Dodge Caravan could be in a number of places. However, the cord for the electrical connection should be near the battery.
