more than you can afford. my mom owns an art gallery and a has one Andy warhol piece and it is very nice but highly priced. If you have to ask then you cant afford it
This was a very mean-spirited and snobbish answer and really not an answer at all. I will try to nicely answer your question.
Andy Warhol has quite a few very famous paintings. If you mean the Campbell Soup Paintings then the answer is that one sold for close to 12 million dollars in 2006. There are 32 different paintings representing the 32 different varieties of soup that Campbell's made. A complete collection of the paintings can be seen in the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. If each one is worth 12 million then it is a very valuable collection.
Warhol painted more than one of each variety and they are in private collections and museums throughout the world. I really don't know how many individual soup can paintings are out there.
The most money for a single Warhol painting ever paid was in 2007. Someone paid 71.7 million for Green Car Crash.
His paintings have sold from the low 6 figures to the high 8 figures!
His ORIGINAl art has been sold in the millions! His PRINTS are sold as low as 5k, and as high as 300k.
In 2007 Warhol's painting "Green Car Crash (Green Burning Car I)," 1963, went for $71.7 million to an anonymous buyer.
The highest paid painting was sold for $100 million titled, "The Eight Elvises".
