What is the impotance of socializing?

In order to understand the phenomenon of human socialization first one must understand the purpose of it. The purpose of Human socialization is to feel safe. Why must a human feel safe? Why does socialization affect the level of safety a human feels anyway? First I will address the former question. The human being is an animal intelligent enough to understand the dangers around it. Unlike other less intelligent forms of life that only understand danger when directly confronted with it or from previous encounters with it. Being that humans do have the brain power to understand dangers before they happen they are very precarious. There are so many dangers that exist humans have no reason to feel safe. Feeling security is one of our most primal instincts. Beyond survival and replication the most powerful instinct is to feel secure. This is why for example people feel safe in their homes. It is oasis of security where they feel that they are in less danger than other locations and situations. Even if this is just an illusion and they are in just as much danger as anywhere else (another human being can easily come in and end their life) this is the way it is. This is the way it must be. Humans must feel safe even if they have to fool them selves to do it. Now why does interacting with another human being increase the level of safety a person feels? This question has a very simple answer. There are two ways for a species to survive. One way is in power or strength of their physical makeup and characteristics which allow them to navigate through life unperturbed by other life around it. The second way is to put the physical makeup on a secondary evolutionary importance and make the speed and efficiency of replication a first priority. This is why bacteria, one of the first forms of life, is so successful on an evolutionary scale. So according to the above mentioned statement it is self explanatory that there is power in numbers. The human is not the only animal that socializes. Many other creatures do as well, albeit in a less intelligent and more form (focal points in other animals social behavior tend to be on a very physical level). When people socialize they relate to one another, and exchange common ideas without even talking. Many actions we do are subconscious. We also subconsciously recognize signals from another person while they simultaneously send these signals. All of these factors makes us feel safe. Another point is companionship. The feeling we get when another person cares for us. Whether the companionship is sexual or not it gives us safety. There are two people taking care of the party that is trying to survive. Two is better than one. All of these factors: common ideas, power in numbers, and companionship, are what lead us to put so much energy and importance into socializing. Because our very survival depends on it.
