stage directions main purpose is to make scenes, songs, and whole shows uniform when theyre being performed by actors over and over. it keeps theatre safe and makes sure the directors vision is always carried out.stage direction shows an actor where they move or perform an action, or interact eith an object on the stage, and is important to map furniture and set pieces, and to protect actors when a scene or show requires fast paced, detailed and exact movements to keep the actors safe and accurate in their performances. direction makes scenes and numbers accurate and uniform when theyre performed over and over. in cases where a certain show or scene is fast, or involves dangerous factors like stunts, acrobatics, or staged combat, inaccurate direction and movements even by small increments can cause damage to actors and their safety, as well as the set, breaking the audience suspended disbelief.
