Please do two things:
1. Look at your pocket change. Every U.S. coin has the phrase E Pluribus Unum on it so that is not anything that distinguishes one coin from another.
2. Look at your silver dollar. Dollars with the word PEACE on them were issued to mark the end of WWI so it could not be from 1879.
The only way an "1879" dollar would have a Peace reverse is if was an altered coin made by cutting apart 2 dollars and swapping sides, kind of like a magician's coin with two tails or heads.

The coin is a 1922 Peace dollar not an E PLURIBUS UNUM coin, circulated coins have retail values of $16.00-$20.00.
E PLURIBUS UNUM is NOT a type of silver dollar, it is the national motto. Please post a new question with the date of the coin.
No such thing as a E-PLURIBUS-UNUM coin of any kind. The coin is a MORGAN dollar, the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM is on all the Morgans from 1878 to 1904 and 1921. Post new question with a DATE.

A silver dollar with the national motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on it dated 1880 is actually called a MORGAN dollar, most all US coins have this motto somewhere on the coin. It's a very commoncoin with a retail value of $36.00-$42.00
