Cntrl + C = Copy (Will copy Text, but not erase it from the spot you are copying from.)
Cntrl + X = Cut (Will cut the text out of the document you are editing.)
Cntrl + V = Paste (Pastes materials that have been copied or cut.)
Press and hold the Ctrl key and press X.
Normally we write that as: Ctrl+X.

You could also press Alt, then E (That should get you to the Edit menu) and then T (you see the Cut " t " is underlined), which can be written as Alt-E-T (or Alt, e , t)
