In short Vermont is very hilly. Lake Champlain covers most Vermont's western boarder, and the Connecticut river on the eastern boarder. With the Appalachian mountain range, which in vermont is the green mountains going all the way up through the middle.
Flat along the coast with a lot of marsh land and swamps. Lots of beaches along the ocean and Chesapeake Bay. Farmland and forest all across the state. From the ocean to the mountains the land gets gradually more hilly (piedmonts) and then eventually mountainous. No giant mountains, tallest around 6,000ft, but really beautiful.
The soil ranges from sandy at the coast to dark red clay to nortmal everyday dirt.
vermont is like New Hampshire (in shape) except nh looks like an upside-down vermont. vermont is so beautiful during fall and it is so unique.
