What are the main function of polysaccharides in plants?
Polysaccharides' main function is to simply store energy. If a plant needs energy, it will break up a polysaccharide called starch, into glucose, which will then be used to produce energy. Another main function is to hold together the contents of the plant cell, as cellulose(another polysaccharide) makes up the cell wall.

What is the function of cellulose?
Cellulose isn't exactly cytoplasm, but it also give the cell protection. Hope this helped :) It provides water for the plants provide support for the cell structure for A+ The basic function of cellulose is to form the shape of a plant cell. Cellulose stores energy in humans cellulose serves no purpose, but in plants it is used in the cell wall. Cellulose has many functions, the most important are for plant cell walls and human digestion. The human cannot actually digest cellulose but it is fibrous and keeps people "regular".
