It's a love song with a ominous atmosphere. It's about how love is part of nature and can last beyond death, which is why you wouldn't have to fear the reaper. If you've ever heard that it's supposed to encourage suicide, well it isn't. The last verse is about someone being saved from suicide.

How do you pitch a song to a record label?

The best way is to align yourself with a music attorney, manager or publisher who already has an ongoing relationship with the label. Labels are reluctant to receive songs from those who they don't have a report with for fear of copyright law suits. This way it keeps them safe.
