Currently there are many Medical Scientists that continue to try to find the cure for HIV/ AIDS. In addition, the many childhood vaccinations that we have today were successfully created by Medical Scientists. Furthermore, they continue today to create new vaccinations, including one that is offered to young girls to prevent cervical cancer. Many Medical Scientists further their education by becoming a licensed physician in order to complete tasks that interact with a patient such as drawing blood and extracting tissue.
