The area between the thumb and index finger (digitus secundus manus, pointer finger, or forefinger), is called the thenar space. The skin is called webbing.

In other sources it is called thumb webbing. The muscles at the base of the thumb form the thenar eminence.

What is the skin between your thumb and index finger called?

The spot between the index finger and the thumb is called the thumb web space. The information is hard to find but is mentioned in the link below (in the section labeled "Causes"). Note: The link shows a birth abnormality, but "thumb web space" is the term for the normal appearance of thumb and index finger.

What is the name of the finger next to the thumb?

We call that the Index finger. Most likely it was given this title due to the fact that we utilize it for pointing and it is most dominate finger utilized when searching documents, lists, information and indexes. It is also the first finger we use when searching through files. Thus, the "index" finger.

What is the finger called between the ring finger and your index finger?

There is a pulse everywhere in you body. Your pulse is the number of times your heart beats in a minute and so if there is no "pulse" in any area of the body it is not receiving blood from the heart and will die pretty quick. There is however not usually a strong enough pulse in the index finger for it to be detectable by human senses (this is why we use the index finger and not the thumb for taking a pulse). There are obvioulsy machines that can sense it and these are used in some forms of polygraph and I believe by psychologists testing levels of stress.
