There are many ways, though some are drastic, it can be done;
1. Use you garden hose and hose them away, eventually they will get tired of getting wet.
2. Use Pet Away, they don't like it.
3. Use Cocomulch, they don't like the feel of this on the pads of their feet.
4. Spray lemon juice throughout your yard or garden, this will last til next rainfall.
5. Call animal control.
6. If all else fails, this is the most drastic one of all, you will have to move.
try squirting the cat with water we do that and they had stopped it
** Of course, this means you have to watch your flowerbed 24-7. Try using a light spray of vinegar or ammonia on the dirt of the flowerbed.
Next time it does it, rubs its nose in it. and repeat everytime it does it until it stops. and it will. might seem harsh... but tough love! Added 9/10/09: DO NOT rub your cat's nose in it. This will not stop him and he will associate YOU with feces, not the action. The best approach is usually a water gun or hose.
Well, you could try moving the plants out of reach or closing the door to the room/s with plants. You could also try giving your cat a litter box that they LOVE. For example: try putting treats that your cat likes near the litter box. You can also try to give the litter box a "roof" of canvas or something like that. That way, it's not just a litter box; it's a hidey-house!
Hope I helped!
i had the same problem what i did was throw some moth ball flakes on the area they go once they get the smell of that they never came back.
Put some lion crap in your garden. It really works, so contact your local zoo.
clean your furniture and train your cat to do their duties in the cat liter
Buy a water gun, every time the cat goes in your yard, squirt it with water.
They wont care but you should still keep an eye out and observe!
Red pepper should not harm plants in your garden if you sprinkle it around the plants to keep the cats and dogs away. However I would keep it away from the leaves and petals.
a pet shop or if u have a friend who owns a litter (family) of cats u mite be able to keep one
please some answer on how to keep cats from my plants
There are many benefits to using Scoop Away cat litter. It will clump and control odors and keep your home smelling fresh and clean. The Scoop Away cat litter will also have a very minimal dust level.
As with many houseplants, the cordyline red star is toxic to cats. Cats have a habit of eating houseplants whether the plants are toxic or not so it is important to keep toxic plants out of a cat's reach.
hang them up where the cats cant jump OR u can spray something around the plants or put them in a cage
There are sprays available at any pet store that you can use in your yard to discourage cats from wandering in your yard.
No. Nor are there cats or cat byproducts. There is, on occasion, McDonalds Food in my cat, but I try to keep that to a very low level.
well first of all is your cat an outside or ever was an outside cat?if there used to going outside they'll look for that same type of ground to go potty on... just be glad hes not going on your favorite curtain or shirt, lol. what i would do is put potting soil in your litter box then slowly put more and more litter in. this way he starts off with the potting soil and graduates.unless he goes in both litter box and potted plant. If your cat has gone to the bathroom in your potted plant remove that plant and replace the dirt so there is no sign of urine. The cat will most likely contiue going to the bathroom where they can still smell it. Also spraying the plant with products like Keep Off or Boundry with keep them away from certain areas. Lastly use Cat Attract Litter in their litter box to help bring them back to where they were suppose to be going in the first place. They also make an attractant you can add to their litter too.
Promise to clean the litter box every day and show that your obsessed about cats and keep asking them over and over again . it took me a year of asking to get my cat
For indoor plants, try spraying a little vinegar in the soil. I know that for outside plants, you can drop mothballs around them to keep cats out.
