In 11 man football Jim Butcher (Lake Roosevelt high School). As a Junior he had 26 tackles in a single game and averaged 17 a game for a season total 153 for the season. In his Senior year he averaged 23 a game and a total 207 tackles. Class of 1980.
Dominick L. Brown-Linebacker from Lansing Sexton High school Ingham County with a single season of 179 tackles in 1999. He holds the most in a single game with a total of 28 tackles. He was recruited by Michigan State, University of Michigan, Iowa, Purdue and Indiana. Named to the Super Prep's All Midwest team. He was ranked among the top players by the Detroit Free Press (No 7), the Detroit News (No 8) and Lansing State Journal (No 10). Selected the Areas Defensive Player of the Year in 1999 by the Lansing State Journal. Selected to the All State Dream Team in 2000. He was a three year starter for Bob Meyers while in his senior season was able to help the Big Reds to a 9-0 regular season mark and the Capital Area Conference title.
