A:

The one thing you could call belief in the Roman gods is 'religion'. Some people believed in all the gods, and this would be polytheistic religion. If people believed that the gods all existed, but only worshipped one of the gods, this was henonism. Those who believed in all the gods, including the God of the Jews, were 'God-fearers'. For the Romans, there was no general compulsion to believe in or worship their gods to the exclusion of others.

Is roman god fake or real?

The existence of gods is entirely a belief. But Roman gods are the same as Greek gods, with different names. If you search the beliefs of Greek gods, they are off the wall. But there is no evidence of any culture's gods. Myself, I believe all culture's gods are fake, except the Christian god, Jehovah.

How did Roman religion strengthen support for the government?

Roman religion and Roman government were intertwined to an extent. Although many, perhaps most, Romans were not religious, they were superstitious. They believed that because they honored the gods, the gods favored Rome by granting them their successes and the empire's prosperity. Rituals for the good of the state had to be carried out exactly and, at certain times, offerings were made to the deities. If these offerings/ceremonies were not performed correctly, there was a belief that the gods would withhold their favor from the Romans.

What was the period of tremendous wealth and power?

I would have to say during the roman times, with the belief in powerful gods, many people had to believe that money was to be given to these gods, therefor, most money went to the ruler or dictator of the time, as a like a down payment for protection in that single persons home. A stupid belief, but very powerful in the time of ancient Rome.

Polytheism is the belief in multiple gods (poly-many, theism- religious beliefs). A modern example would be Mormons who believe in multiple gods because they teach that perfect Mormons can become gods and that God was once like a human being.
