I think you have the wrong abbreviation
Periods do not have a specific names, and are just called as first, second, third, etc. On the other hand, groups have specific names which are related to the property of the elements present in them. first groups is called Alkaline Metals, second Alkali Earth, forth Tetrals, fifth Pnictogens, sixth Chalcogens, seventh Halogens, eight nobel gasses.
