However, through the song, he talks about how she's grown up, and become clever, ("you've grown, so grown," and "we are far too young and clever,") and that he now is sexually attracted to her, and his past sibling-like feelings are gone.

∙ 10y agoThe song Come on Eileen was released by Dexys Midnight runners. While they were very popular in there home town in England they only released the one song in the U.S.A. Kevin Royland wrote this song for his childhood friend Eileen when they changed there relationships from friends to a couple. This song also knocked Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" from the top spot.
