Yes, the greenhouse effect is a natural warming process. It is completely natural on any planet with greenhouse gases, including Mars, Venus and Earth.

What is not completely natural is referred to as the enhanced greenhouse effect. This is caused by man's deforestation and burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) which is raising the levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

Yes. If the green house effect did not occur then night time would be extremely cold. Life on our planet needs some degree of green house gases in order to stay alive. CO2 for example not only keeps the planet at a relatively constant temperature, but is also used in the respiration (breathing) of both plants and animals.

There are greenhouse effects caused both naturally, and exacerbated by man's activities.

Earth's natural greenhouse effect is caused mostly by water vapour, and to a much smaller degree, by carbon dioxide, methane, and a few other minor gases. These factors help keep the Earth warm and habitable.

The "unnatural" (or enhanced) greenhouse effect is what results from the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation. Fossil fuels release extra carbon when they are burnt, and forests are no longer there to absorb and store carbon.

The natural greenhouse effect (as opposed to the manmade enhanced greenhouse effect) is the warming effect of naturally occurring greenhouse gases (water vapour, methane and carbon dioxide). The presence of these gases in our atmosphere have maintained then temperature of the Earth above the temperature that would be present by simple solar radiation. Without a natural greenhouse effect, the temperature of the Earth would be about zero degrees F (-18°C) instead of its present 57°F (14°C).

Yes, the greenhouse effect is a natural phenomenon. It has kept the earth comfortably warm for millions of years. However, since we began burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, more than 200 years ago, we have an enhanced (or accelerated) greenhouse effect which is causing global warming

Yes.

CO2 is exhaled by animals, humans and plants while methane is produced by swamps, decaying vegetation and ruminant (cow) digestion, to list but a few

How is the greenhouse effect caused on a molecular level?

The greenhouse effect is caused on a molecular level by the greenhouse gases combing, thus forming the greenhouse effect and that's what causes it to be on a molecular level.

What heat is caused by the greenhouse effect?

Global warming in the atmosphere is the heat caused by the greenhouse effect. Carbon dioxide, methane and other greenhouse gases produced by industrial factories are the main causes of greenhouse effects.

What form of heat is caused by the greenhouse effect?

There are three types of heat transfers: conduction, convection and radiation. The heat transfer caused by the greenhouse effect is radiation.

Which form of heat transfer is caused by the green houses effect?

Radiation is the form of heat transfer that is caused by the greenhouse effect. Carbon dioxide is an example of a greenhouse gas.

Why is the greenhouse effect caused by fossil fuel dangerous?

The greenhouse effect caused by the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas), which releases carbon dioxide, is called the enhanced (or accelerated) greenhouse effect. This is causing global warminq, which is dangerous.

Does the greenhouse effect only effect the Venus?

No. That's what global warming is caused by.

The greenhouse effect might be caused by the increase of?

Does a planet need atmosphere to have a Greenhouse Effect?

Yes. The greenhouse effect is caused by gasses that block thermal radiation from a planet's surface.

What are some aspects that ozone depletion and the greenhouse effect have in common?

There are important aspects of ozone depletion and greenhouse effect. They are caused by same sources.

The greenhouse effect is caused by the warming of?

The planet(s) through solar radiation and the retention of a small portion of this heat through atmospheric gases. The greenhouse effect is caused by the warming of the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, mostly water vapor and carbon dioxide. This is a natural effect that has gone on for millions of years. The enhanced greenhouse effect, what we are experiencing now, is caused by the warming of the extra greenhouse gases that man is adding to the atmosphere, largely by burning fossil fuels, and by deforestation.
