120/80 is considered ideal, but I understand due to our society today doctors have raised the ideal to 130/90...but due to weight, diet, genetics, vices, etc BP can vary from person to person (such as smaller stature people can have lower BP than norm but still be considered normal). If you have a regular doctor they should be taking your BP regularly and notify you if yours rises or drops or is way out of normal range...doctors tend not to be concerned unless yours is way off the charts either way, or if they've been taking regular BP's and yours suddenly changes.

Normal blood pressure is said to be 120 over 80. The higher figure being the Systolic and the lower the Diastolic. As you become older the systolic becomes raised and they used to say it should be somewhere near 100 plus your age, so a 40 year old would have a reading of 140 over 80. The problem these days is that our high fat diets are bunging up our arteries and this raises our blood pressure prematurely. It is not unusual for readings to be 190 over 110. If the condition goes untreated then the pressure causes our hearts to enlarge. We then have serious problems. The diastolic pressure is the important one to note and any rise above 80 should make us prick up our ears. Slim people have nice healthy readings, usually 110 over 70 ish and they should never have problems. Hope this helps.

around 120/80 is good. you dont want it to high or to low, keep im mind that it goes up and down trough the day. take it 30 min after activity, 3 or 4 times and average it out. im 36 and mine was vary high, one month of cardio and it has dropped to 125/70 5 min ago.
