CPT 80061 is the code for a lipid profile (or lipid panel).A blood test to determine the values for total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, and often the mathematical ratio for total cholesterol/HDL .
Not likely that it is 600-1000 above normal since normal for total cholesterol is in the range of 100 - 120, so you'd have values that are almost SIX TO TEN TIMES normal. I'd suggest that there is an error in your reporting of these values.
Normal physiological values reference between what is normal and abnormal parameters. Some of these values referenced are blood volume, cardiac output, resting heart rate, pH, core body temperature and fasting plasma glucose.
normal values of blood coagulation is 4 to 7 min
Values outside of the normal range always indicates the presence of disease?
Normal values at 8 a.m. are 6 - 23 mcg/dL. Note: mcg/dL = micrograms per deciliter Normal value ranges may vary slightly among different laboratories. Talk to your doctor about the meaning of your specific test results.
HDL(high density lipid) 1. HDL cholesterol is cholesterol with a large concentration of protein within its molecule. As other cholesterol is deposited on the walls of the arteries, HDL cholesterol picks it up and carries it back to the liver for reprocessing. This is why a high HDL value in the blood is desirable. According to the American Hearth Association, serum values of 60 mg/dL are the most desirable, while values under 40 mg/dL are undesirable. HDL cholesterol is found in protein-rich foods, including lean meats and soy protein.
For adult males the normal hemoglobin values are from 14-18 grams/deciliter. For adult females the normal hemoglobin values are from 12-16 grams/deciliter. I don't know how these values could be expressed as percents.
Physiological values are the homeostatic values of the variable concerned. So, the physiological value of glucose in the cell would be the normal amount of glucose that you would find in the cell (intracellularly), not in abnormal or disease conditions (pathophysiological conditions). Hope this helps.
