You can't - legally.
You are legally required to tell them about it and give it back to them if they request it (which they will).
Legally, any amount over a dollar.
If the debt has been transferred onto your credit card, you are liable to pay. You can sue your relative in small claims court to recoup the money you are owed.
Of course they can! You signed a legal agreement giving them the right to come after you in exchange for loaning you money.
Yes they can ! You entered into a legally-binding contract with the card company when you applied for the card. If you default on the repayments, that contract allows the card company to seize any assets you own. They can then sell your assets and use the money raised to repay YOUR DEBT !
The Debt goes to be paid by his estate, if there is no money to pay the debt it just bad luck for the credit card company.
no when you get the card they take money off the card and put it in the card
No! There is no requirement that you speak English to be legally in this country. It is possible to get visa's for all sorts of purposes in order to legally reside in this country. In addition, you can get legal resident status and a green card without being able to speak much English. It is a bit more difficult to become a citizen without speaking English but it is possible knowing only small amounts of English to get through the citizenship test and other requirements for citizenship.
