The planet Venus is named for the Roman goddess of love and is always the brightest point in the sky. The Romans built temples to Venus, and since it was the first "star" that could be seen in the sky for much of the year, and always the brightest whether seen in the morning or the evening, it was an easy way to remember it as a prayer point. What is the #1 thing that people prayed to Venus for? Love, of course. The prayer evolved into a wish as people forgot the Goddess of Love and her origins, and the wish expanded into realms well outside the beginning point. Like so many other traditions and habits engrained in people that have found their way into modern religions, wishing upon a star evolved from an ancient pagan religion.
Wishing on stars is a hopeful gesture or superstition that has no proven scientific effect. It is a way for some people to express their desires or dreams, but it does not have any impact on the universe.
If you belive in your wish I'm sure that it will ,but a wish is like a car, you need a driver to get places. Just like a wish you need to belive to suceed :) have fun!!
You get to focus on something you really want and think about why it is important to you.
No because you are 2000 lightyears late so that star is dead like our dreams good job whoever asked this question
when you wish upon a star you are a few million light years away so when it does get to you that star is dead like our dreams,
Good job ruining our dreams whoever asked this. 0.0 (#_#)
then your wish will come true
All that happens is that the universe gets to ignore you twice.
