In Egyptian mythology, Osiris is a god associated with the afterlife, resurrection, and fertility. The Osiris myth tells the story of how he was murdered by his brother Set, then resurrected by his wife Isis. Osiris then became the ruler of the underworld, while his son Horus avenged his father's death by defeating Set. The myth symbolizes themes of death, rebirth, and the eternal cycle of life.
