I got fined somewhere around $275 (no other criminal record, Ingham County). It seems most counties have a set fine for this if it's your only offense. The court SEEMS to treat it like a ticket, but traffic crimes can't be expunged in Michigan, so fight it if you can, for the sake of your record down the line.
fines
fined and motorcycle taken/towed
If you get pulled over by a cop and do not have your Motorcycle endorsement it is a criminal charge and will need an lawyer to help you... so if u do get pulled over and all this does happen ( which happened to me ) you need to go to a motor cycle training course and after that get your Endorsement and the charges MAY be dropped depending on your driving history and the judge.
It is important to have a license before driving a motorcycle. The penalty for driving a motorcycle without a license can be a fine to pay or a few hours in jail.
I was arrested in May 2010 for this, went to court and pleaded guilty. Was fined 700 dollars and had points taken off my license. This however was my first driving offence and was in Paulding county. i also had to pay 300 dollars for bail. You can receive upto 1 year jail term depending on your history.
Michigan
Michigan abolished the death penalty in 1846 for crimes except treason, Rhode Island followed in 1852 and abolished the death penalty for all crimes (including treason). Michigan's death penalty statute was amended in the 1950s or 1960s to exclude the death penalty for treason.
Joyriding or unauthorized use of an automobile is a serious crime. It is a felony in Michigan and can incur a jail term up to five years.
A person caught driving a motorcycle without the proper license would have to pay a fine that could cost between $80 and $100. To have this fine dropped they can go get their license to drive a motorcycle.
The biggest penalty for driving without a motorcycle license in Virginia is a fine. This is likely coupled with the fine of whatever reason you were pulled over.
In Michigan, if you have gotten a DUI, there is no statute of limitations that applies. Due process has occurred and the penalty assessed. It is a part of the criminal record and does not go away.
In the UK you will receive a 'fixed penalty ticket'. If you accept the fixed penalty, you will pay £60 and receive a 3-point licence endorsement. If you go to court, you may receive a fine of up to £1,000 and 6 penalty points. If the total points on your licence exceed 12 (including those for this offense) you will be disqualified from driving.
