A huge cruise ship was taking thousands of people on a long boat ride. On one of the day they crashed into a HUGE iceburg. All the woman and children were on boats while men were left abord. Story says that one half sunk first, then the other sunk deeper. IS THAT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YEAH?!?!?!?!?
vaguely...the titanic did hit an iceberg on the 4th night and the rescue by the carpathia is all true. The cabins and interior would also have been correct. All that wasnt really historically correct was the rose/jack relationship
"The Truth About Titanic" is a book written by Titanic Survivor Archibald Gracie.
Luckily, he labored to have it written because he died so soon afterwards that he didn't even have to edit it.

No sadly :( they just added the love aspect to the movie to create a better plot, to make the movie more interesting.
Yes, the Titanic was a real ship that sank on its maiden voyage in April 1912 after hitting an iceberg. The events surrounding the sinking of the Titanic have been extensively documented and researched. While the characters portrayed in the movie may be fictional, the overall story of the Titanic is based on true events.
All authors use plot. Plot just means what happens in the story. You have to have a plot if you're telling a story. Even nonfiction books have a plot: it's whatever is happening in the history or true statement they're telling you.
Law abiding citizen is not based on a true story, but could have drew some of the ideas for the plot from the Joshua Komisarjevsky case from Connecticut.
