OK, so I may not be the smartest girl on earth, but what I do know is that the Holy Spirit is the main symbol of Confirmation. On every picture that I have ever seen, there was a Holy Spirit in the picture. It looks like the Holy Spirit is bringing down fire. I never really learned what the MAIN symbol of Confirmation is, but I have never seen a picture of Confirmation without the Holy Spirit in it. Like I said before, I'm not that smart, but I'm smart enough to know that much...so hope this was a little helpful...Peace!!! :b <3

The primary sign of confirmation is the chrism. A chrism is the making of the sign of the cross on the person's forehead when being confirmed. This symbol began with the Apostles and has continued until today.
