What is the problem when the key won't turn in the ignition to start the car it always starts with the remote starter but it can't be driven without the key activating the starter?

you might try to move your steering wheel at the same time you are turning the key in the ingition. The lock mechanism might be in a bind.

Did you just put a starter on it ??? Sounds like the starter wires are on the starter wrong are thay are shorted out. CHECK THE WIRES GOING TO THE STARTER CLOSELY.

I had the same problem the car started sometimes and sometimes did not. In my case i needed contacts, the contacts in the starter was bad. It cost me $500.00 so my advice is to buy a new starter the contacts were $12.99 a piece and later on i found out that you can buy a new starter for $500.00
