The throttle pedal is not adjustable on a2001 Ram.
it sounds most likely to be an electrical problem.
stock is 225/75 17 I'm running 265/75 17 on mine with no problem.
Fuel injected or Carb?
It is on a bracket above the brake pedal. It reads off of the brake pedal.
i had the same problem and i replaced the sensor/switch on the brake pedal itself and got mine to work.
If the parking brake pedal on your 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 is stuck to the floor, you might have broken the parking brake cable. Remove the rear tires to see if the cable is still attached and replace it as needed.
There is a switch on the bar of the break pedal that needs some oil. Lay underneath the pedal and look up. push the pedal and you will see it move a switch. Apply some lube and you should be good. Just fixed the same problem on my '01 Ram.
It is on the throttle body, opposite the throttle cables.
Try to find another 97 1500 and swap to see if problem follows the ecm.
no, the only brake pedal you'll ever have is the small one. maybe get bigger shoes
If equipped, it is under the dash directly to the left of the brake pedal. It is a blue connector.
anywear from 185f to 210 f would be normal
Sounds like a bad master cylinder, if you push down on pedal with light preasure and pedal goes too far down then push hard and quick to see if it will hold if so cylinder is leaking
There should be a switch under the dash activated by the movement of the brake pedal arm.
Mine was up underneath the steering wheel, above and to the left of the brake pedal.
13.5-14.5 when running.
Probably a bad master cylinder...
