What is the procedures for replacing the ignition coil in a 96 Chevy Corsica 2.2?

The coils and the module are located on the firewall side of the engine. You have to take the coils and the module off at the same time. its a pain to get at, but it can be done. You'll need a 1/4" drive socket set and about 2 hours time. Some of the coils are located on the passenger front of the engine also. Just follow the spark plug wires to the coil packs. Once found, begin the repair.

Remove the retaining ring at the top of your 1994 Chevy Corsica ignition switch. Slide the ignition switch out and remove the wiring harness. Reverse the process to install the new ignition switch.

The 1992 Chevrolet Corsica ignition module can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The ignition module will be on the drivers side of the firewall.

If your 1988 Chevy Corsica key only turns in the ignition and does not start the automobile, it is probably unfixable. Remove the ignition switch retaining ring. Slide the out and remove the wiring harness. Reverse the process to install the new ignition switch.
