It is intended to distract the opposing teams pitcher as it rounds home plate, but usually it is done because the fans are bored and looking to have some fun.

Every Baseball player Bats. I'm not quite sure that he was a pitcher though.

A pitcher throws a baseball to the catcher while the batter trys to hit it.

It is used by the batter to hit the baseball, which is being thrown by the opposing teams pitcher.

If the pitcher throws four "balls", the batter is awarded first base (a "walk"). Sometimes, the batter is intentionallywalked as a strategic move. And if the pitcher hits the batter with a pitch, the batter is awarded first base, although that is not usually called a walk.

The pitcher is most dominant in the game of baseball. The pitcher is responsible for throwing the baseball towards the batter and thus initiating each and every play with his or her pitch.

If the pitcher hits the batter on a pitch then the batter is awarded first base. However if the batter swings at the ball and it hits her then it is a strike

The pitcher stands 60 feet and 6 inches away batting plate and tries to strike the batter out.

No, why should the batter be penalized for "staying alive" by fouling off pitches. The classic confrontation between pitcher and batter is the heart of baseball.

It means when the pitcher gets the batter out himself by throwing 3 strikes, either by the batter swinging and missing, or by the ball being in the strike zone and the batter not swigning

the one who throws the ball to the batter (stands in the middle of the field on the white rubber)

pitcher in baseball mean to catch the ball no the answer above is completely wrong the pitcher throws the ball towards home plate in a given strike zone of the batter and make it land in the catchers glove

I'm not a baseball expert, but I seem to recall a rule against crossing in front of the catcher from one side of the plate to the other when the pitcher is on the mound without first calling time out. Maybe there are some baseball experts out there who can elaborate further. Yes. This is true. If the batter crosses from one side to the other while the pitcher is set to pitch, the batter is declared out. Another way an out can be recorded without the aid of a pitcher is if the batter does anything against the rules like corking the bat.
