Mechanical advantage is not the only reason one would use a pulley. For instance in a car, pulleys are used to drive alternators and Power Steering pumps. The use of the pulley and belt is to give power to these devices from the crankshaft. It's a method of transfering kinetic energy to these devices.

A single pulley gives you no machenical advantage. If you are lifting a load of 100kg with a single pull, you will need a force equal to 100kg.

Nothing, the power put in the same or less than the output, depending on if you factor in friction.

There is no mechanical advantage. It's a directional advantage. You change the direction of the force to be applied to your advantage, so you can use stronger muscles, a beast of burden, etc.

How does a fixed pulley make work easier?

A fixed pulley does not make the force applied easier, it changes the direction of this force. For example, instead of bending over and lifting and object, a fixed pulley lets you lift it by pulling down on a rope.

How can pulleys make life easier?

The pulley makes work of lifting easier then lifting by hand.

How does a pulley make your life easier?

pulleys allow work to be easier because they lift the stuff up for you but they don't do work for you, it just makes it easier

How does a single pulley make work easier?

by changing the direction of input force

How does a movable pulley make work easier?

A fixed pulley is the only pulley that when used individually, uses more effort than the load to lift the load from the ground. The fixed pulley when attached to an unmovable object e.g. a ceiling or wall, acts as a first class lever with the fulcrum being located at the axis but with a minor change, the bar becomes a rope. The advantage of the fixed pulley is that you do not have to pull or push the pulley up and down. The disadvantage is that you have to apply more effort than the load

What are the differences between a fixed pulley and a moving pulley and how do each of them change work?

The difference between a fixed pulley and a movable pulley is, the wheel of a fixed pulley does not move because the wheel is attached to a wall, ceiling, or other object. Unlike a fixed pulley, a movable pulley's wheel does move. The wheel on a movable pulley is not attached to a wall or other object. A fixed pulley changes work by changing the direction of a force. A movable pulley changes work by reducing the input force needed to lift heavy objects. A movable pulley changes the direction of the input force and reduced it. A movable pulley also increases the output force.

How does a pulley decrease work?

No, a pulley redistributes the work making it easier but at the end of the pull it will be the same amount of work.

Ma of a pulley?
