700 - 900 rounds per minute (cyclic), just like the M16A1, Diemaco C7 and C8, M4A1, etc.
As fast as you can pull the trigger...
The M16 assault rifle has a cyclic rate of fire of 700-950 rounds per minute, and 45-60 rounds per minute in semi-automatic fire.
Like any professional sane soldier from any where around the world, the US Marines prefer the semi-automatic rate of fire.
Yes, it is a select fire weapon.( semi-automatic, three-round burst and full-automatic fire. )
AR 15 - semi-automatic only M16 - depending on variant capable of full auto or burst fire. Will also fire semi-auto.
It is a semi-automatic version of the M16
In a way the M16 is a machine gun, but it can also do three round burst and semi automatic. civilians are not allowed to have automatic m16s unless you have an automatic weapons permit, but you can have a semi automatic M16. (an AR-15 is almost like an M16 and much cheaper if you're looking to buy one.)
There are a large number of differences based on the models of both guns, however the most notable is that the AR15 is a semi-automatic and the M16 is capable of semi-automatic or full automatic.
The cyclic rate of fire of the M16 assault rifle is 700-950 rounds per minute.
M14, Type 95, M16
Simple answer MI5 homeland, MI6 overseas. sorry that was some other idiot. the real answer is that m15 is semi automatic and the m16 is either semi 3 rd burst and sometimes fully automatic. not that other stupid answer
The M16 is only fully automatic on campaign mode but in Black Ops multiplayer it returns to semi. So technically there is no way to get a fullyautomatic M16 in black ops
Yes, the M16 is an assault rifle, and thus has fully automatic capabilities. The XM16E1, M16A1, and M16A3 can fire on completely full auto, while the M16A2 and M16A3 can fire a three-round burst, which by legal definitions, is considered to be fully automatic.
