Art Shamsky hit 4 home runs in consecutive at bats in 1966 with the Cincinnati Reds. 3 came on August 12 when he was inserted the 9th inning and hit 3 consecutive home runs (2 in extra innings)- the only player in history to hit 3 home runs in a game without starting the game.
