The recovery process after hernia surgery varies from person to person, of course. Here are some points about the hernia surgery recovery process that you should know: 1. Many patients are managed through day surgery centers and are able to return to work within 1-2 weeks 2. However, heavy lifting is usually prohibited for a long time afterward 3. How much is a hernia operation on a labrador puppy?

Surgery can run from $350 to $650 depending on your vet. Our 9yr old Chihuahua Pomeranian mix just had a double inguinal hernia surgery that cost $2200. She had the hernia when she came to us as a stray dog and we were told that it didn't have to be operated on. A few weeks ago it became a problem and protruded out beyond comfortability for her and we knew it was time.
