well the formula for photosynthesis is : carbon dioxide + water ------> glucose +water the formula for respiration is : glucose + water ---------> carbon dioxide + water teh formulas are the other way round....... carbon dioxide and water is needed to produce water and glucose for photosynthesis but for respiration glucose and water is needed to produce carbon dioxide and water. i hope this was some help :) well the formula for photosynthesis is : carbon dioxide + water ------> glucose +water the formula for respiration is : glucose + water ---------> carbon dioxide + water teh formulas are the other way round....... carbon dioxide and water is needed to produce water and glucose for photosynthesis but for respiration glucose and water is needed to produce carbon dioxide and water. i hope this was some help :)

They're basically opposites of one another. In photosynthesis, light energy, carbon dioxide and water react to form glucose and oxygen. In cellular respiration, glucose and oxygen react to form carbon dioxide and water, releasing energy that the cell can use to do work.

Photosynthesis:

6CO2 + 6H2O + E ----> C6H12O6 + 6O2

Respiration:

C6H12O6 + 6O2 -----> 6CO2 + 6H2O + E

Photosynthesis makes the glucose that is used in cellular respiration to make ATP. The glucose is then turned back into carbon dioxide, which is used in photosynthesis. While water is broken down to form oxygen during photosynthesis, in cellular respiration oxygen is combined with hydrogen to form water.
