Jem is Scout's older brother, more mature and protective of her. Scout is younger and more naive, often questioning the world around her. Jem tends to be more serious and responsible, while Scout is more adventurous and outspoken.
There relationship is good. They are sisters and brothers. Jem is protected over his sister scout. They love each other a lot, they did everything together. Later on in the story, they were arguing about Jem going back to get his pants from boo radley house. Then there relationship changed because of the age, and Jem was becoming older.
