there won't be any botanical name for common salt as it is related to chemistry, and it would only have a chemical name-sodium chloride

Iodized salt is simply table salt(sodium chloride) with minute traces of iodide salts, such as potassium iodate, potassium iodide, sodium iodate, and sodium iodide.

THe addition of iodide salts prevents iodine deficiency.
