That would be the OVERDRIVE selector switch.
Are you stepping on the brake? On my 2004,you have to push in on the button on the side of the gear shift selector. There is also a small panel adjacent to the selector that can be removed to manually release the selector from the park position. Not sure about the 07

On the automatic console gearshift it is below the button you press to select the gear
you push the button at the end of the gearshift to engage it, its for towing vehicles or carrying a good size load I think you have it backwards. It is by default in overdrive. Pushing the button on the end of the gear selector will disable overdrive. You would want to disable it to pull heavy loads or if you are in a hilly area, especially at lower speeds.
