Spherical bi-concave disc. This shape is due to the absence of a nucleus.
a red blood cell is like a disc with a dent in the middle.it is known to be a cell without a nucleus.however,young red blood cells do have a nucleus,just as the grow older,they loose it.blood contains hemoglobin which contains iron which gives blood its metalish smell.however in rare cases,the red blood cell is shaped like a sickle due to chromosomes,resulting in what we call sickle cell anemia
