What is the solution to rainforest destruction?

The question assumes that rain forest destruction is a problem. It seems to me that the rain forest itself is a problem, and therefore its destruction IS the solution.

All that said, if you still think that rain forest destruction is a problem, then the obvious solution is to stop destroying rain forests. Of course, that's much easier said than done. You and I don't own the rain forests, so we can't control who does what with it. Instead, we have to somehow convince the governments that control that land to ban any activity that destroys the rain forests.
