The standard height for a wheelchair accessible vanity is a maximum of 34 inches to the top surface of the vanity/sink area. However, an equally critical measurement is the under height clearance which should be 29 inches with a foot plate clearance of 9 inches. You may want to checkout www.adaptivelivingstore.com they have very nice accessible vanities and cabinets. I really like the fact that with their vanity you still have space to store things and your pipes aren't exposed.

I am considering a vessel sink that is 7 inches tall. What height vanity would I use I want to repurpose an antique dresser I have. Possible ?

Normally a vanity is 32" high. However if you are tall and don't want to bend down much when you wash your face, you can make it a kitchen counter height which is 36". So basically 32" - 36" is considered standard height for a vanity. If you want your finished height to be 36", then you should choose a vanity that is 29" high. It is possible to convert an antique dresser to a vanity. you just need to have a carpenter to cut part of the drawers to make room for plumbing and find a piece of counter top to protect the wood.
