However, the man admits to losing his temper when the shop keeper still does not tell the truth.

The shopkeeper responds rudely and the interaction suddenly turns hostile. The shopkeeper tells the narrator to come outside and settle it. At this point, because of the size advantage of the shopkeeper the narrator changes his mind and decides to accept the defective soap.
