The electron cloud represents the possible locations where electrons would be located with a 50% probability.

In other words, the two electrons of a specific orbital each have a 50% probability of being inside and a 50% probability of being outside the electron cloud representing that orbital.

This probability is a manifestation of the uncertainty principle of Quantum Mechanics, which states that the position and velocity of a particle cannot both be known to more than a certain accuracy at one time.

Most often electric current is given the symbol I (capital i). Like the the formula V=IR, where V is voltage, I is current and R is resistance.

Of course, the units for electric current is in fact amps, which is given the symbol A. It is important not to confuse the two symbols.

A lower case "e" is the symbol for an electron.

Then you add a + or - depending on wheather its positive or negative.

The letter, 'E', is normally used to represent an electromotive force, or no-load voltage. In North America, the letter, 'V', is used to represent all other voltages. In Europe, the letter, 'U', is used in place of 'V'. Each of these letters should be italicised.
