The 2000 Ford Explorer front hub nut has a torque specification of 140 pounds of pressure. The hub should not be over tighten. Over tightening can ruin the seal.
The 2003 Chevrolet Suburban front axle hub as a torque specification of 120 pounds. You should never exceed the torque specification as you will cause the wheel seal to fail.
The Ford Aerostar front hub bolt should be torqued at 120 pounds of pressure. The hub bolt should not be over tightened as it can ruin the wheel seal.
are the tires the right size, and all the same size, how many did you replace, is it AWD, are they inflated correctly, did you break a sensor taking off or putting on the tires
The first was in 1899 an electric car built by Ferdinand Porsche. The frist Internal combustion car was the 1903 Spyker 60hp.
If it is a automatic transmission there is no starter relay but, an ignition relay instead. If it is manual the starter relay is located under the hood at the fuse box on the left (drivers) side.
I just had mine replaced. It is under the dash, behind the radio compartment. It's a labor-intensive job, involving removal of the dash cover, etc. Be prepared to pay some money to have this done!
In a nutshell: Unbolt 4 nuts/bolts from rear of driveshaft from rear differential. Pull driveshaft out of transfercase. Unbolt driveshaft's carrier bearing from chassis. Unbolt and pull transfer case off of transmission. I'm in the process of doing an AWD swap into my Spyder now ! :) IHTH Brian
yes , because the seal is behind the torque converter
attached to the transmission on the bellhousing.
Removal of the water pump on a 1995 Ford Aerostar V6 3.0 non AWD begins by removing the drive belts and accessories. The water pump can then be unbolted and pulled from the engine.
( No ) the 1997 Ford Explorer uses automatic transmissions that are ELECTRONICALLY controlled , where the 1992 model year is not ( P.S. I'm not a mechanic / technician )
157 to 213 ft-lbs.
A 1994 Ford Aerostar manual transmission will hold 1.2 liters of API GL-5 SAE 80W90 transmission oil. An automatic will hold 10 quarts if the lines are completely flushed.
No, there isn't sorry.. on 1997 awd aerostar 4.0 you have to take four bolts off of front drive shaft ,pry it away from the coupling ,may need some persuassion (pry bar and hammer) .move drive shaf up and out of the way and the starter will have enough room to slide down.
My 4.0 awd aerostar does not have an egr. If you have pinging, and done all the usual tune up stuff, try putting in spark plugs from the 3.0 engine. the different reach range cured my pinging!
The Acadia AWD system is set up to deliver a 90/10 torque split (90% to the front wheels) in normal operation. When detecting front wheel slippage it can transfer as much as 35% to the rear wheels. So on a steep incline it would indeed be better than FWD. Not much sense to have an AWD system that delivers all torque to only one differential as the previous poster seemed to indicate.
All 4x4's Ford Expeditions are not AWD... I have a 1998 Ford Expedition XLT and it has (2H/AWD/4L/4H). But, my brother has a 2000 Ford Expediton EB (AWD/4L/4H).
AWD= All wheels pull all the time, but in a 4x4= its a rear wheel drive until the driver choses to ingage the front axel.
the noise coming from this truck is the uv goints
