I have an 01 quad with the v6. I comfortably load 1000 lbs in the bed. I have on occasion uncomfortably loaded up to 2000 lbs in the bed. It'll take it with no damage. just keep her slow (45 mph or less) and don't drive long distances, steep inclines, sharp curves, or to close to the car in front. :-)
