Michael, Jamie and the mysterious man in black have all been in hiding for six years. It is revealed that the Man in Black is the leader of a cult and that after the ending of Halloween 5 the Man in Black kidnapped Jamie and had her impregnated. The baby is born on Halloween Eve and is carried away by the Man in Black. Later a nurse helps Jamie and her baby escape. Michael Myers, in pursuit of Jamie and her son, kills the nurse, Jamie, steals the truck of an angry motorist (who becomes Michael's next victim) and flees to an empty bus station where she calls in to a radio show that happens to be doing a broadcast about the Haddonfield murders. Jamie gets on the air, begging for help and warning people of Michael's return. She hides in the bathroom where Michael nearly catches her. She narrowly makes it out alive and again drives away. Tommy Doyle (the child Laurie Strode babysat in the first film) has his eye on a family who's moved into the old Myers house across the street from the house where he lives. The boarding house is run by a mysterious old woman named Minnie Blankenship. Tommy has been obsessed with finding the truth behind the murderous motives of Michael Myers. After hearing Jamie begging for help on a local radio show, Tommy finds her baby at the bus station and takes him into hiding. The people living in the Myers house are relatives of the Strode family (Laurie Strode's adoptive parents), and among the current residents are Kara Strode and her son Danny, Kara's brother and her parents, the doting mother Debra and her abusive husband and Kara's father John. One by one, Michael stalks each of the Strodes, trying to get to Jamie's baby. Across the street, Tommy reveals to Kara that Michael has been marked with Thorn a runic symbol that druid astronomers claimed was originated from a constellation of stars that appear on Halloween night from time to time (whenever it appears, Michael appears, explaining why Michael appears a few number of years after he's been in a near-death-experience). It is an ancient Druid curse that represented a demon that spread sickness and caused mad destruction on druid tribes. In order to prevent the tribes from dying, each tribe had to inflict the curse on one child from each tribe, so each child can offer the blood sacrifice of its next of kin on the night of Samhain (A.K.A. Halloween), because the sacrifice of one family meant sparing the lives of an entire tribe, which is the reason why Michael kills. If Michael did succeed in killing his entire family, the curse would be passed on to another child. While Tommy is out looking for Dr. Loomis, Mrs. Blankenship reveals to Kara (after talking to Danny) that she was babysitting Michael Myers when he killed his sister 32 years ago, and Danny hears the "voice", just like Michael Myers heard when she was babysitting him (implying that Danny is the next "child" to be cursed with Thorn). The plot takes a turn when the "Man in Black" finally reveals himself as Dr. Wynn from the original Halloween. After a showdown between Kara and Michael, Tommy and Dr. Loomis follow Wynn to Smith's Grove Sanitarium. Loomis tells Tommy to go get Kara and the children and get out while he confronts Dr. Wynn, who knocks him out shortly after. Tommy finds Kara locked in a room in the maximum security ward, and they continue to find the children, who are found in an operation room. In the other room through a two way mirror, they can see Dr. Wynn and the cultists performing some kind of an operation on someone, until Michael walks in with a machete and slaughters them all (with the possible exception of Dr. Wynn). Tommy, Kara and the kids run with Michael on their tails until they come to a locked gate. With no where to go, the group hide in a room. Inside the room, Kara finds some tanks, with what looks like to be baby fetus' inside each one of them, with a chart with numbers and runes sticking onto it. Michael breaks into the room and Tommy injects him with tranquilizers of corrosive chemicals and beats him in the head with a lead pipe. As Dr. Loomis, Tommy, Kara, Danny, and the Baby are about to escape, Loomis tells them to go on without him because he has "unfinished business" to do. Back inside the building, where Michael's mask is on the floor, and we hear Dr. Loomis's final scream.

When he was six years old Michael murdered his sister Judith, he was sent Smith's Grove Warren County Sanitarium and was put in the care of Dr. Samuel Loomis, 15 years later he escaped and returned to his home town of Haddonfield. His main target is Laurie strode, one by one he kills her friends, she manages to fend him off long enough for Loomis to save her, he shoots him six times but instead of dieing Michael disappears. Halloween II takes place on the same night as the first film, Laurie is taken to hospital and Michael follows, we find out she is his baby sister. Michael kills the hospital staff, it ends in a showdown between Loomis and Michael, Loomis causes an explosion trying to kill him.

10 years later Michael escapes while he is being transferred to a secure hospital and once again returns to Haddonfield to kill Jamie Lloyd Laurie's daughter, Laurie died in an accident. Michael knocks out the towns power and kills the towns police force before being shot down a mine shaft. In Halloween 5 we see him escape down a river and get nursed back to health by a hermit, who he later kills, again he goes after Jamie killing anyone who gets in his way, he is captured and put in a cell, a mysterious man kills everyone at the station, frees Michael and captures Jamie. Halloween 6 reveals Michael and Jamie have been held under Smiths Grove for six years and Jamie has had his baby, the mysterious man is a Doctor from Smiths Grove who protects Michael, he had an ancient curse placed on him as a child which drives him to kill his family. He kills Jamie and Loomis.

20 years after Halloween II Laurie Strode returns, she faked her death (Halloween 4-6 don't exist), she has become a paranoid alcoholic convinced her brother will track her down and he does, he kills a few student's at the school she works at before a final show down between the two which results in her killing him. However it wasn't really him he switched clothes with a paramedic, he tracks Laurie down to an asylum and kills her then returns to his childhood home where a reality show is being filmed, he kills the people in his house, is taken to a morgue as he believed to be dead but he isn't.

In the remake, young Michael has an abusive step father, a horrible older sister (Judith) and is being bullied at school, he kills his sister, step father and the bully and is sent to Smiths Grove for 17 years.

Micheal Myers (Will Sandin) was abused as a child, until he went mad on Halloween night in 1963. He murdered his sister, and was about to carry on the killing when he was found. He was sent to an asylum where his doctor, Sam Lumis (Donald Pleasence) took 7 years trying to help him, and the next 8 trying to keep him locked up. Unfortuently, he was left in a low-securety wing of the asylum, and after 15 years, he escaped. He returned to his hometown of Haddingsfeild, where he broke into a store and stole some kitchen knives and a Willam Shatner mask painted white. He happened to escape on Halloween night 1978, and so he started a murder spree. He killed all the freinds of high-school student Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and stalked her throughout the night. Meanwhile, Dr Lumis is hunting him down with the help of the sherif. Micheal finds Laurie, and attacks her. She blinds him by stabbing his eyes with knitting neadles, and hides in a closet. He finds her, and tears the door to shreads in his attempt to kill her. She manages to stab him through the neak with a bit of wire, and he falls over, dead. She wanderes out of the closet, crying, and sits down in the hallway. In the background, with Laurie still crying, looking the other way, we see Micheal sit up with the scary Halloween theme playing. Laurie, oblivious to the dander, gets up and walks into another room. Micheal follows her, and attacks. He trys to strangle her, but she ripps his mask off, and he drops her in an attempt to put it back on. Suddenly, Dr Lumis runs up the stairs, and shoots Micheal. He had heard the screams outside. Micheal falls out of sight, through a doorway. Dr Lumis follows, expecting Micheal to be dead. He finds Micheal, with the mask on, looking at him. He shoots 8 bullets into Micheal, mostly in his cheast. With each bullet, Micheal is thrown back a step, until he falls of the balcony. Dr Lumis looks over to find Micheal lying dead on the grass below. He goes back to Laurie, where she asks "Was that the boogieman?"

"Yes," he replies "as a matter of fact, it was."

Dr Lumis goes back to the balcony for a final look at Micheal. But Micheal is gone. There is only a body-shaped bloodstain on the grass. The Halloween theme starts up as the credits roll. Micheal is still on the loose.

Throughout the Halloween movies, Micheal has gone through hell. In Halloween 2, he is in an explotion, and in 8, he is electricuted and burnt. But at the end of the last movie, Micheal was still alive, setting it up for a sequal.
